iPhone on AT&T: Exclusive deal may stick
By: Jamie Pert | September 14, 2009
Lately there has been a lot of speculation suggesting that perhaps AT&T’s exclusivity for Apple’s iPhone handsets may be coming to an end, however a recent article on ComputerWorld seems to perhaps suggest that AT&T’s expanding HSPA standard will help AT&T keep the iPhone.
The article looks into statements made by iSuppli Corp, the iSuppli Corp are “a market research and consulting firm specialized in the electronics value chain”, iSuppli believe that AT&T’s HSPA standard growth will surpass Verizon’s EVDO standard.
Obviously the fact that such a reputable market research company such as iSuppli are backing AT&T can only mean so much, however we will have to wait until June 2010 to know whether or not Apple will extend the contract. For more details check out ComputerWorld.
