HTC Touch Pro 2: Compared on Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon

With more and more people looking into owning a HTC Touch Pro 2, many of the carriers in the US are offering competitive deals to secure customers on their network, during this article we will look into the offers Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile are offering.

Currently to buy the handset outright from T-Mobile it will set you back $549.99, however as part of a two year deal it will set you back $349.99, the basic voice plan will include 300 minutes unlimited texts and will cost you £29.99 per month, however if you wish to add an unlimited data plan it will also set you back an additional £24.99 per month. The total cost for a HTC Touch Pro 2 on T-Mobile for two years will be $1,669.51.

Currently to buy the handset outright from Sprint it will set you back $599.99, however as part of a two year deal it will set you back $349.99, the basic voice plan will include 450 minutes unlimited texts and will cost you £69.99 per month, however this price does include an unlimited data plan. The total cost for a HTC Touch Pro 2 on Sprint for two years will be $2,029.75, however Sprint do now offer an unlimited mobile-to-mobile calls offer.

Currently to buy the handset outright from Verizon it will set you back $489.99, however as part of a two year deal it will set you back $199.99, the basic voice plan will include 450 minutes unlimited texts and will cost you £39.99 per month, however if you wish to add an unlimited data plan it will also set you back an additional £29.99 per month, also for 250 texts for $5 a month. The total cost for a HTC Touch Pro 2 on T-Mobile for two years will be $1,999.51.

This proves that just because a carrier offers a handset $150 cheaper than its competitors it doesn’t mean that it is cheaper in the long run. Find out more on WMExperts.

    Your article still does not compare apples to apples. Sprint with the all you can eat plan includes GPS which is an add on with Verizon and T-mobile does not offer it. You also get Sprint TV. Lastley if your service area sucks for any of the other cell providers then paying $100 more per year is well worth it.

    How is that a fair comparison ? The T Mobile plan is only 300 min so you have to factor in what the additional 150 with T mobile is going to cost a user in order to give a fair comparison. The cost of the Verizon plan does not include unlimited text. If you want to compare costs then you should be comparing apples to apples.

    i am actually reading and writing this on my tp2 sprint i love this phone its the best one i have ever owned wish winmo 6.5 was out already overall the phone kicks major butt some draw backs but that is due to people like me wanting something so cutting edge and not reading the manual this phone is so vast you can get lost for hours futzing with it

    Company i work for switched from verizon to sprint. big mistake. Cost was a issue thinking it would be loads cheaper. but in the end dropped call everywhere! lots of upset field guys! and even drops calls in our building!

    I kept my verizon, even in a major city in TN the sprint phone drops coverage! I get coverage fine and all over TN! so even though it cost more it is more reliable and yea sprint has to offer more on a plan because you cant use it all the time, at least for TN. but apples to apples would have been a better

    To be honest, as much as iHate sprint it has the best deal for the htc touch pro 2. You get the simple eveything plan which i have and also you get Sprint’s new unlimited mobile to mobile calling. Service isn’t better than Verizon but better than at&t’s..(my opinion). The phone might cost $349 with 2yr contract but it’ll go down soon and hey its worth it. Sprint has the fastest 3g connections

    Sprint rocks in NYC, especially with the Corporate Discount I am currently paying 35 dollars for each of the 5 phones on my plan. I have the 1500 minutes plan which we never go over. Sprint definitely has the best deal and I was also given a free Airave for my apartment when I told them I was having problems with my reception.

    This is a horrible phone regardless of the network. I have the T-mobile version. The speaker is low-volume, crackles when you turn it up. It has required me to reset the memory in order to make phone calls, which means reloading contacts, etc or doing numerous hardboots. The applications stall. You’re often left with a split window when you open the phone and it doesn’t recognize whether it’s open or shut. I contacted T-mobile about the issues and they were glad to replace the phone (nice of them) just pay shipping……on their ridiculously priced phone. Did I mention the zoom bar is a complete joke that doesn’t work at all? The phone screen also flashes on and off when you are trying to enter numbers into the keypad.
