As reported from Computer World, the new and optimzed HTML means that Facebook Lite is ‘much’ faster than the standard version. You’ll also be pleased to know that the new version has less ads and smaller pictures, which all helps for a fast and smooth browsing experience.

Other features of the Lite version include no chat mode, no applications or groups, no left navigation bar and no profile photo anymore.
