Blackberry browser keeps up with iPhone, Palm Pre, Nokia, and Android
By: Jamie Pert | September 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentA recent article on PCWorld has looked into RIM’s claim that the browser on the BlackBerry Storm is in the same class as other competing high end handsets such as the iPhone, Palm Pre and also on a par with Android devices and decent Nokia handsets.
For those of you who haven’t used the Storm’s browser the basic layout of the browser shows an address bar at the top, beneath this there is a Google search bar, the main browser window also shows bookmarks and last visited sites.
As for using the browser you can easily access websites by simply pressing the address bar and then using the SureType keyboard to enter the URL, if the handset is in landscape mode there is a full QWERTY keyboard. For more details check out PCWorld’s article here.
Do you think the Storm’s browser is on a par with handsets such as the iPhone and Palm Pre?
