Windows 7 and OS X v10.6: Bill Gates and Steve Jobs Involvement

With the recent release of Snow Leopard and also the upcoming release of Windows 7 many people are wondering whether Bill Gates and Steve Jobs had much if any input on the Operating Systems, obviously with Bill bowing out of Microsoft and Steve being ill these releases are the creation of developers instead of the dominant figures.

Compared to previous OS releases Windows 7 and Snow Leopard are not quite as full of new features, instead they are more refined, however if Bill and Steve had input I wonder if the OS’s would have been quite so refined and more aimed towards a ‘wow factor’.

As I’m not a Mac user myself I can’t really comment on Snow Leopard, however Windows 7 in my opinion is such a breath of fresh air for Microsoft Operating Systems, whether this would have been the case if Bill was deeply involved is hard to say. Check out Windows7News for more details.

Do you think that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have not been quite so involved in these OS versions?
