New iPod Touch: Reason it has no camera
By: Alan Ng | September 10, 2009 | 2 CommentsJust in case you are still scratching your heads as to why the iPod Nano was the only iPod to recieve a camera upgrade, Apple’s bossman Steve Jobs has recently revealed the reason why the company chose to do it.
As reported from Engadget, Steve Jobs explained that the reason why the iPod Touch didn’t get a camera is because it’s a great ‘games machine’. Yep, thats what he said. He also revealed that the company didn’t know how to market the product at first, but listened to their customers and then focused on gaming.
When asked the question again though, Mr Jobs stated: “We don’t need to add new stuff, we need to get the price down to where everyone can afford it.” Well we can understand that statement in relation to the new 8GB iPod Touch $199 price point, but what about the $299 and $399 prices for the larger versions?
What do you think about his comments? Theres more over at Engadget.
