Apple Rock and Roll Event 2009: Announcement Recap

Following the huge amount of posts that me and my colleagues have written regarding yesterdays Apples event, I thought it would be a good idea to perhaps recap some of the biggest announcements and link you to the relevant article.

Leading to the event there was a lot of talk about an Apple Tablet, the discontinuation of the iPod Classic and a new iPod Touch with an internal camera, however in the end none of this was revealed.

Here’s what was revealed, iPhone OS 3.1, iTunes 9, 160GB iPod Classic, new colors and pricing for iPod Shuffle, the new iPod Nano which now has a camera and finally slight changes to iPod Touch which included a faster processor, however no camera.

I must say that all in all I was pretty disappointed with the event, mainly due to the fact that no Apple Tablet was announced, but also the fact that a lot of the new announcements that were made consisted of relatively small changes to current devices/software.
