Palm Pre price cut on Sprint

Following on from the announcement of the Palm Pixie, Sprint have also announced a price cut to the Palm Pre smartphone. Much like Apple cutting the price of the original iPhone with the release of the 3GS, Sprint are now doing the same with their first webOS capable device.

As reported from Engadget, the Palm Pre will now be available for $149.99 on contract - a $50 price cut. There is still a $100 mail-in rebate, so you’ll still have to pay $249.99 in-store to pick one up.

It feels as if the price cut has come sooner than expected as well, which is always nice. You’ll now have the pleasant decision of choosing between the Pixie and the Pre.

Let us know if the price cut has convinced you to buy a Pre or not.
