Palm Pixi Phone: Expands webOS Line with Customizable Style

Palm have just announced their brand new Pixi phone, designed especially for those who are looking for an compact and customizable smartphone alternative to the Palm Pre.

The Pixi will run on the same webOS interface that is currently seen on the Pre, while the main advantages of the Pixi will be its fast operation and very thin design, which you’ll notice straight away.

Main features include a 2.63-inch multi-touch screen, QWERTY keyboard for fast messaging, desktop-class web browser, 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, 8GB of Storage, MicroUSB connector, 3.5mm jack and more.

It will also feature robust instant messaging capabilities, with support for Google Talk, Yahoo and AIM. The phone will be exclusive to Sprint and will be released sometime in the holiday season. Pricing details are expected to be revealed closer to release date.
