New Apple Tablet: Laptop sales pave the way

It has been revealed that laptop sales are on the increase, thanks to the back-to-school season that we have now entered. As a result of this, it couldn’t be a more perfect time for Apple to announce a fair-priced internet Tablet.
As reported from Reuters, August demand for laptops in terms of dollars was up 40% from July, which is a 20% increase, when compared to last year. Further research by Retrevo Pulse has indicated that 58% of students would spend less than $750 on their next laptop.
Apple would need to pay close attention to details like this, as if their Tablet turns out to be a premium priced product (as some are expecting), then they may struggle to shift units in the holiday season.
Come on Apple, do the right thing. Apple are expected to announce the tablet at today’s Media Event, we’ll keep you updated.
