IPhone OS 3.1: Apple Event September 9, 2009
By: Jamie Pert | September 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentOne of the first things that we have heard announced at today’s Apple Event is that iPhone OS 3.1 is now freely available today for iPhone and iPod Touch. This confirms what was stated in previous posts.
Exact details on how iPhone OS 3.1 differs from iPhone OS 3.0 have not yet been released, however along with bug fixes there is now a new ‘Genius’ function.
The Genius function is a way in which Apple can now advertise particular applications to specific users based on what applications users have chosen previously, this will also be great for developers to get their applications noticed.
No details as to whether the battery issues associated with iPhone OS 3.0 are resolved with OS 3.1 have been released yet, however we will keep you posted. Remember for up-to-date information check out the Live Blogs.
