Blackberry Storm 2: Verizon talks WiFi equipped phones
By: Alan Ng | September 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentAfter previously hinting about the possibility of WiFi connectivity, it now seems as if Verizon are looking to follow in the footstep of AT&T and fully embrace the benefits of WiFi.
As reported from Investor, Verizon announced last month that they will be providing free WiFi access for their broadband customers in places like hotels and airports.
Well now the company have announced that they will be extending this service, for a range of upcoming phones that will include WiFi. Analysts are predicting that these will include the BlackBerry Storm 2 and the Palm Pre.
To back this theory up further, John Stratton, who is Verizon Communication’s chief marketing officer has confirmed that a wave of Wi-Fi devices are on the way, although he wasn’t prepared to go into any details on that.
