Palm Pre Price Drop

According to a tipster for PreCentral.net it seems that Sprint plan to lower the price of the Palm Pre by $50, it is thought that this price reduction was brought on by the upcoming HTC Hero on Sprint which will set you back $179.99. Before the $50 price reduction the Pre would have set you back $199.99.
According to the anonymous tipster who is said to work for an “indirect partner retail dealer” it seems that “indirect partners” will be able to sell the Pre for $149.99 following a mail-in rebate, currently the deal is available from September 8th until October 31st.
The Pre isn’t the only handset that has received a price reduction, so has the Centro, Treo 755p, Treo 800w, Treo Pro, Treo 650, Treo 700p and the Treo 700w, for details on their new pricing check out PreCentral.net.
