Samsung WB5000 Digital Camera: Light with 24x optical zoom

If you are thinking of picking up the Samsung WB5000 Digital Camera, you should check out this short hands-on preview we have found, courtesy of Engadget.

It features a staggering 24x optical zoom, ISO 6400 sensitivity, full manual control option and RAW format support, amongst other things.

Engadget have stated that the camera feels quite ‘light’ and packs a decent image quality, thanks to the 12.5 megapixel camera. The Samsung WB5000 also has the ability to record HD video in 1280×720p resolution, using the latest H.264 format.

The camera is expected to be available in the UK sometime during September, no word on a price yet though, so we’ll let you know once more details are announced.
