Samsung WB5000 Digital Camera: Light with 24x optical zoom

If you are thinking of picking up the Samsung WB5000 Digital Camera, you should check out this short hands-on preview we have found, courtesy of Engadget.

It features a staggering 24x optical zoom, ISO 6400 sensitivity, full manual control option and RAW format support, amongst other things.

Engadget have stated that the camera feels quite ‘light’ and packs a decent image quality, thanks to the 12.5 megapixel camera. The Samsung WB5000 also has the ability to record HD video in 1280x720p resolution, using the latest H.264 format.

The camera is expected to be available in the UK sometime during September, no word on a price yet though, so we’ll let you know once more details are announced.
