US iPhone Verizon Deal: The man that blew it to retire

It has been revealed that Verizon Communications Inc. President and Chief Operating Officer Dennis F. Strigl has decided to step down from the company at the end of the year.
As MacDailyNews reports, you may be thinking, well so what? But if you didn’t know, Strigl was actually the senior member of Verizon who blew the iPhone deal for everyone. He may have worked in the communications industry for 41 years and had the final say on all things connected to Verizon Wireless, but we have a feeling that most of you will remember him for failing to deliver the iPhone to the network.
As it stands, the iPhone is locked to AT&T – something which needs to change sooner rather than later. Maybe his successor will try harder than Strigl to deliver what customers really want.
Find out what Strigl had to say in the link above. What are your thoughts on the news?
