By: Alan Ng | September 4, 2009 | 1 CommentIt has been reported that due to the launch of the PS3 Slim this week, overall PS3 sales have doubled since last week, with the Xbox 360 console seeing a 30% increase in hardware sales too.
As seen over at VGChartz, sales of the PS3 are up 104%, compared to last week, with 75,931 units doubling last weeks total of 37,167 units. As for the Xbox 360, there was a 30% boost in sales from last week, as Microsoft managed to shift 74,689 units.
The Nintendo Wii remains a close competitor in 3rd, with 74, 245 units sold this week.
As we enter the holiday season, there isn’t really much difference in sales to spilt the three consoles apart. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top before Christmas.
