It has been confirmed that Apple have secured the rights to distribute pre-cut ringtones on their iTunes service. The company are now making final preparations and hope to have the feature on show at next week’s Apple Media Event.
Thats according to MacRumors, who have obtained the info from a recent Cnet article. Part of their article is as follows:
”Apple will announce the ringtones on September 9, the day the company has scheduled a press event, if managers can get them ready in time to sell.”
Well we have to say this is a good idea for those who cannot be bothered to ‘cut’ their own ringtones with all the software needed. We just hope that Apple announce a fair price for the service.

Jeez, I sound like a spammer.
Oh I wouldn’t worry about that Slippy, a spammer to us is someone who bombs our comments section, EVERY DAY…asking people to buy UGG BOOTS
Most of the other phones that I’ve had before the iPhone let you use the music from your library (that you’ve already paid for the ‘Right’ to play anyway)….. as a ringtone….!!!?
Negatively thinking: Apple will use this to spin more £$¥€’s
Positively thinking: It would be a refreshing surprise if they don’t take the pre-verbial….?
We’ll soon find out…
