New Apple TV Lineup: Rumor seems real

According to a report on MacRumors it seems likely that Apple will be making a change to its Apple TV lineup, this change will probably be announced at Apple’s upcoming media event.

The reason that these rumors have began is because recently shipping on Apple’s 40GB Apple TV has slipped to 1-2 weeks, perhaps suggesting that units are becoming scarce. According to Gene Munster who is an analyst from Piper Jaffray “A new model is possible given the hardware has been the same for 2+ years,”.

Obviously all of this speculation has built from extended shipping times, however in my opinion it is quite a co-incidence that this has occurred so close to Apple’s media event. As we find out more we will keep you posted, for more information check out MacRumors.
