Facebook 3.1 for iPhone: Expect push notifications
By: Alan Ng | September 2, 2009
How are you finding the new Facebook 3.0 application for iPhone? It brought some nice features, most notably the lovely new interface, but still didn’t bring some of the features that you expected.
As PC World reports, one of these features is Push Notification. It was included in the iPhone OS 3.0 update, but is nowhere to be seen in the new Facebook update.
It is a feature top of your request lists, as it will allow you to receive messages and updates, even if the Facebook application isn’t running.
Some good news to report though, as this feature is expected to come with the next Facebook 3.1 update. For the moment though, we’ll just have to make do with the features we already have in 3.0.
Let us know what you think of the update so far. Are you impressed or disappointed?
