Canon EOS 7D: Official price and release date

Yesterday, we reported on the leaked photos of the upcoming Canon EOS 7D and right on cue, we now have an official release date and price from Canon to share with you.
As reported from Engadget, most of the details regarding the Canon EOS 7D have already been made aware to the public, thanks to the leaked information that was released recently.
Still, theres no time like the present as Canon have now set a release date towards the end of September. If you’re planning on picking one of these 18 megapixel beasts up, expect to pay around $1,699 or $1,899 - depending if you want an optional lens with it.

‘end of september’ isn’t a release date.
I concur.
Please tell me when I will be able to purchase this camera, and the best place to buy the camera. I am taking a photograpy class, and I need a DSLR, but I have not purchased a DSLR because I want the Canon 7D. Please give a date so that I can decide if I need to purchase something else.

i wanted to get the nikon d300s but wanted to stay with canon but didn’t like the AF system on any of their cameras…
