Apple AppStore and Android Market Sales: AdMob’s numbers

It has been revealed that the Android App store is struggling to find sales, according to recent research results. An average of just $62 a day for one top Android developer for all of last month is an indication that the Android Store is struggling to compete with the likes of the Apple App store.

As reported from IntoMobile, AdMob have estimated that they will make around $60 million per year, but developers are more worried that they will not be receiving much in the way of compensation.

One of these developers is Larva Labs, who have conducted an analysis into Android sales and have predicted that the Android Market isn’t worth more than $5M a month.

So basically, what needs to be said here is that developers for the Android market should carefully consider if they are going to be making enough money from their apps to make it worth their while.

Part of the problem is that paid apps are not available in the Market in some countries, like Canada where I live and parts of Europe. I find this very frustrating and there is no explanation. My iPod Touch had full access to the paid Apps from day one.
Some Apps I really want are just totally unavailable to me. Those Devs lose the revenue and the users lose functionality.
    Does anyone know why?
