Samsung Rogue full specs, price, and release date

By: Daniel Chubb | August 28, 2009 | 10 Comments

Over at the BoyGeniusReport website, all the statistics for the upcoming new phone, the Samsung Rogue have been posted up on their site. The Samsung Rogue is set for launch across all networks on the 8th of September, and one thing is for sure, this is one good looking piece of kit!

The Rogue features a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard situated under the large 3.1” AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) touch screen display. But you don’t have to use the slide out QWERTY keyboard, because as usual there is a virtual touch screen keyboard. The phone has a 3 Megapixel camera with camcorder functionality, and with memory upgradable to 16GB via microSD there will be plenty of space for all your photos! The battery life on both the standard and extended batteries is quite reasonable too, the extended battery providing up to 456 minutes of usage time and up to 500 hours of standby time.

To check out all the features and specs of this phone, head over to the BoyGeniusReport website, they look to have had the whole Samsung archive sent them regarding the phone. So go check it out and let us know what you think of it! Probably will be better than the Omnia II anyway, and at $419 retail price for the set, it will probably work out considerably cheaper as well.

I was at A Verizon Store today and they got the Rogue in yesterday. Just one and they have no idea when it’s coming out. They would think within the next couple of weeks.

I just got this phone and i am totally loving it! the screen is so vibrant and the widgets toolbar is great because its customizable. Clicking and dragging icons from your main screen is a great feature, so is the calender its so easy to use im constantly entering reminders for myself. One touch and im on my facebook, youtube, or google. this is my first touch screen phone and it took me no time to get used to manuvering around. I cant think of anything negative about it, i highly recommend this phone!

i LOVE this phone. i just got it for my birthday a few weeks ago and i havent been able to stop playing with it! i’ts my first touch/qwerty and i couldnt ask for anything better! unlike so many other qwerty’s this keyboard is actually really easy and fast to use. the touch screen is so easy, on point and perfected it never clicks something that i DONT click. my favorite part about this phone is the way you can switch the way you view your text messages, normal, or as a conversation. dropped calls? never!! the motion dectector turns off the screen display when it gets close to your face and turns right abck on the second you pull it away. i recommend this phone to every1 and any1!

I’m getting this phone for christmas, I’m so excited. I wanted the Samsung Glyde. But i heard it was crap. But I want this phone so bad, I have one question.. Are the wallpapers good?

I just got the Rogue for Christmas from my husband. Its an awesome phone. I love the keyboard, the touchscreen, the wallpapers. Everything is beautiful and easy to use. The battery life isn’t great, but it lasts all day. I expect it to last longer once I stop playing with it every second. I use it for Facebook, web browsing, mobile email, texting and regular phone calls and I have not had a complaint about it yet. I am ecstatic! One really cool feature I don’t hear a lot of people mention but was a huge bonus for me: you can change the font for the displays! There are only 5 or so options, but it was so cool to be able to customize my phone so specifically to my taste since my husband has the same phone and I didn’t want to get confused whose phone was whose.
