New Xbox 360 Model: Forza 3 and 250GB HDD

It has been revealed that a new Xbox 360 Elite console package is on the way to customers soon. How does a 250GB Elite console with 2 wireless controllers and bundled Forza 3 sound to you? The news was broken by Amazon Germany who listed the product on their website.

As reported from Engadget, this is the same Amazon Germany that listed the PS3 Slim console on their website around 20 days before it was announced. The listing has since been taken down, but you can head over to Engadget to view an image of the listing.

It was priced for 279 euros which is around $397 and just to let you know, about 30 euros more than the current Elite price. Unsuprisingly, no release date was given, although Forza 3 is not due out until October 23rd, so expect more details before then.

    You have got to be kidding me, ANOTHER 360!!

    Prob gunna be a motion controller early in 2010 if MS can get it coded to the 360 in time of course!! (not that this was sony idea in the first place cue Bandwagon!!)

    come on Microsoftly softly you have seriously missed alot of tricks compared to the PS3!!! I dont have either Consoles but have played them both and the latest games that have come out for the PS3 far outstrip anything MS has to offer for the 360 in terms of Graphics,

    I still use my Original xbox (Chipped I might add!!) and playing Forza 1 and then playing Forza 2 on my mates 360 I was not impresed this is hardly a leap forward in Console development in terms of graphics.

    PC GPU’s have left this console in the dust BIG TIME!! It seems to me MS were so busy trying to ensure the console couldnt be hacked/cracked and trying to milk every penny a console user has that Sony walked straight passed them in terms of useability, forward thinking, e.t.c,e.t.c I mean for christ sake Sony use a Java interface on their consoles so it obiously makes it easy to use, easy to design custom dashes (WIP) and is the way forward in terms of Technolgy advancement and progression if uou ask me,
    (Take a look at Flash based interfaces poping up all over the Web these day’s, Flash and Java are the way forward!!!)

    Dont get me wrong hardcoding has it’s uses but I think Sony has proven quite dramaticly it is’nt actually required in these modern times with the correcly designed hardware. MS if you want a list of things that you missed out on with your console and want an Idead of what is core gamers want from the next Gen feel free to get in contact. I can’t be biased as I dont have either consoles but have played them both!!!!

    P.s I dont have the PS3 for price reasons and the fact I already have Blu ray player in the PC with HDMI graphics card.

    P.s.s Fallout 3 on the PC using the HDMI connection is FAR better then 360 on HDMI with the same game FACT!!!

      @Phil!
      You might wanna ask ps3 owners how their version of Batman Arkham Asylum compared to the 360 version in terms of graphics, and there was also Grid that had a lesser framerate than the 360 vesion,Y might want to buy and use these consoles regulary as I do (I own a PS3 Slim, Xbox 360 Elite, a Wii and a gaming laptop) before you comment on them as you clearly dont know what you are taking about man!
      This article is about the 360 getting a larger HDEnd of! And thats A FACT! It’s Not a comparison between your home made gaming platform that needs new hardware every couple of months and the 360,its a news article letting people kno that there is an iminent release of an Elite console with a 250gb HD, You also seem to conveniently forget that the 360 was released nearly 4 years ago now!

      And as for yet another of your “FACTs” about Fallout 3 being bette on a PC with an HDMI connection is farcical, I’ve played Fallout 3 (I work in the gaming indutry) on Both a PC and a 360 and just for ease of controls the 360 are far better than a keyboard and mouse combo!

      PS:I’ve also completed all the DLC on Fallout 3 ;-)

      @Slippery sloppy:
      Have a look on Youtube at 360 HD replacement ;-)

  3. I dont know says:

    yaaaah hooo!!!

    Finally 250gb hdd on a 360

    I just might get this insead of elite 120gb

    But for now my 500gb ps3 is still better…sigh….

  4. Slippy Sloppy says:

    M$ and $ony Both use the size of HDDs as a sales tool and an excuse to charge more money for what is an extremely cheap upgrade for them. At least $ony let users upgrade their HDDs rather than tie them in to their brand.

  5. phil says:

    Pete, Geting away from the whole “I dont know what I’m talking about” speech, And my so called “FACTS” Dude it’s only my opinion!! I made no mention of fact.

    Dude I do agree with some of the points you made Especially about the machine being 4 years old and thats one of my points we are just seing a Larger HDD version of the 360 now!!! (Just in time for Crimbo!!) I meaan come on talk about milking it!! (Ok I know you can uprgade your HDD to a larger one on the 360 but that will void your warranty no doubt which according to Sony if you do the same on there console it WONT void your warranty)

    As well as the 360 having 3-4 years on the pS3 it’s obiouse it will take time for games to mature on the PS3 and just like it did on the Original Box and what we are now seeing on the 360, Give the PS3 the same time frame the 360 has had over the PS3 and the games will outstrip the 360 in terms of Graphics simply because Sony took the extra time to perfect there console befor release!! And as a person in the “industry” I’m suprised you did’nt highlight that fact?? : )

    I have to admit I’m not a hardcore Gamer but that doesn’t detract from the fact I still appreciate a good game every now and then. So to be honest I don’t have to upgrade my PC rig every couple of months as you highlighted and admittedly I can’t say I have NEEDED to upgrade my PC rig for the last 12-18 months in regards to being able to play the latest and greatest Titles.

    In regards to Fallout 3 Game (With DLC of course!! he he great game!!) I agree the game is more playble on the 360 because of the simple turn it on and get gaming but then all you need is a FREE tool called XPadder for Windows then you can use your original xbox pad on the PC and map it too how you want it!! or you could buy a wired 360 pad or course?? So without getting into PC setups and your opinion of Fallout 3 being better on the 360 this could simpy be because of your PC rig setup???

    Out of interest Dude is that the ONLY xbox Elite you have had that has’tn caused the RROD???? (Im just curious as my mates had 8 of the dam things!! admitidly they were not elites)

    I’m not taking anything away from the 360 in terms of ease of use e.t.c just like the Wii. I simply think that MS missed a whole heap of tricks with the 360 prob by rushing it out…who knows maybe were be lucky enough when the next gen Box comes out that they consentrate on outstripping the competition in terms of GPU capabilites and utilising some of the really great concepts that are available for the original box (hacked version of course!!) that are not availble on the 360…heres hoping!!
