Another Toyota Recall: Cars and Crossover Vehicles In US
By: Alan Ng | August 28, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that auto giant Toyota are recalling around 95,700 cars and crossover vehicles that are currently sold in the United States. The reason for this is due to a potential problem with their models whenever icy weather conditions occur.
According to NewsInferno, icy conditions during cold temperatures in Toyota models such as the Corolla, could result in vehicle braking system issues. Other models that are affected by the recall are the Toyota Scion.
Toyota clarified the issue by stating that the problem could result in condensed moisture from the “positive crankcase ventilation port” could leak into the vehicle’s brake system vacuum port, causing it to freeze.
Toyota are hoping that a new intake air connector will solve the problem.
