Opera Mini: Most downloaded mobile app

It has been reported that the Opera Mini browser for mobile phones has become the most downloaded app ever. This is even more interesting as Opera Mini does not appear on the Apple App store, but instead is available on one of their closest rivals – the GetJar store.

As reported from IntoMobile, GetJar has announced that there has been over 25 million downloads of the popular Opera Mini web browser, spead across different mobile platforms.

At the moment, Opera currently resides at version 4.2 and so far this year, around 7.5 million downloads have already been notched up.

While there are so many companies out there who are trying to ‘out do’ the Apple Store, it seems as if GetJar have found the right formula for success.
