In-Game PS3 Voice Chat: One company holding back

An interesting rumor to report to you now regarding in-game voice chat on the PS3, as it has been reported recently that there is only one company that is preventing the release of the much needed feature.

According to this article over at PS3 Center, the company that is holding back in-game voice chat is EA. It all seems pretty wierd to us, but he posted a jumbled up ‘clue’ revealing details on this subject. Apparently, all the other big names: Square-Enix, Capcom, Activision and so on, are willing to co-operate with Sony for the addition of in-game voice chat, but for some unknown reason, EA are not.

Furthermore, it was alleged that one game caused all the problems. This game is rumored to be Harry Potter: And the Order of the Phoenix - but again, that was the only information that was disclosed at the moment.

It will be interesting to see how this story develops. Hopefully we’ll get to the bottom of it soon. We’d like to hear your thoughts on this one. Do you think EA are the naughty ones responsible?

Full details over at PS3 Center.
