Facebook 3.0 For iPhone: Apple where is it?

Do you remember around 10 days ago when we told you about the upcoming Facebook 3.0 application for the iPhone? Well it is still not available on the App Store meaning that it either has ’still’ not been approved yet, or there has been an issue with it that we are unaware of.

As reported from Mashable, Facebook 3.0 for iPhone was seen as a fairly big deal for everyone concerned as it is expected to bring video uploading, the ability to zoom in on photos, rsvp to events and birthdays and much more.

Considering the popularity of previous Facebook Apps on the Apple Store, you would think Apple would have gotten their act together by now. We’ll keep you updated when the App is finally available.

Let us know your thoughts on the delay.

I understand if Apple does not want to give priority over other applications as it might send a bad signal to the smaller entities, but this is ridiculous. If it’s going to take 2 weeks to push out such a highly anticipated app, then hire more than the 40 workers you currently employ. I would think that given what we pay for the phones, ipods, computers, etc….they have the resources.

Seriously. Apple needs to get it together here. Facebook has consistently been on the top 25 list forever and is one of the few apps with an over 4 star rating. Plus hey Apple, here is a perfect app for your iPhone commercials that people will actually use, not some niche app you may use once.

I think Apple should have a site showing all the current apps submitted for review, their status, and also publically show their reasoning for denying apps. Then things like the Google Voice debacle may have been lessened or altogether avoided.

My inside sources tell me that there is a problem with the facebook app: specifically that the “video upload” function seems to compete with the same function apple recently included in the 3.0 software update. Apple will not accept applications that attempt to replace core functions of the apple software.

I will write back when I here more.

Yea its kinda getting ridiculous especially since my Facebook has been bugging out bad for the last week. never had any problems with it until a week ago. now i cant see my own wall. I expected more from Apple and I’m getting pretty annoyed at them.

I just check the app store on my ipod touch and it had the update available. Downloaded it and it seems a lot better.
