Sony Reader Daily Edition – The real rival to the Kindle
Filed under: Electronics

Sony have just announced their Reader Daily Edition, a stylish 7-inch touchscreen reader with built in 3G connectivity, allowing users to get access to new content on the move.
As reported from TheRegister, Sony’s Reader Daily Edition is more than likely going to be dubbed as Kindles real competitor. After enjoying success in the E-Book market for some time now, is the Sony Reader Daily Edition the device which will steal the mantle away from Kindle?
Word has it that the device will be available for purchase across retailers in the U.S sometime in December. It is expected to cost $400, making it around $100 cheaper than the ‘cheapest’ Kindle at the moment.
Other advantages over the Kindle is that the Sony Reader Daily Edition will be connected to AT&T’s 3G network, meaning that it will be compatible and usable all over the world, something which the Kindle lacks.
What are your initial impressions on the Sony Daily Edition? Let us know if you are planning on picking one of these up, come December.
Look forward to a more detailed review soon.
