Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 to be made official soon

You may have seen our post late July showing a video of the Sony Ericsson Xperia 2, at the time of the post the handset was still in its very early stages, however it now seems that we should be hearing an official announcement from Sony Ericsson soon.

If these rumors are correct we should hear the announcement next week as a Sony Ericsson press event, however this event is still yet to be announced too.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia 2 looks to have an impressive hardware specification, the handset will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an 8.1 megapixel camera, a 3.5 inch OLED display, 512MB RAM. The Xperia 2 is also rumored to have an accelerometer, aGPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be running Windows Mobile 6.5.
