EU Windows 7 prices to be raised
By: Jamie Pert | August 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to an article on ComputerWorld it seems that Microsoft are planning to raise the prices of non-upgrade editions of Windows 7, these price increases will only occur in Europe starting from September 1st.
According to the article the price increases will range from €20 to €80 in Europe and in the UK the increases will range from £20 to £70, however an itemized breakdown of the planned price increases has not yet been released.
As most people purchasing Windows 7 will be upgrading from XP or Vista these price increases will only affect a minority of people, the people affected will be people who either are building a new PC or perhaps moving from Linux.
