Sony’s PSP Minis and approval process
By: Jamie Pert | August 25, 2009
With more and more portable devices deciding to have their own application stores, it was no real surprise when Sony recently announced its Minis program. The idea of the Minis program is to offer small purchasable downloadable games direct from your PSP for your PSP.
Details are now beginning to emerge regarding the basic technical requirements and also Sony’s approval process, these details emerged following the leak of a “Level 2 Confidential” two-page PDF, currently these details are unconfirmed and are according to a report on PocketGamer.
It seems that Sony want their ‘Minis’ to be “fun, affordable, creative, easy to play, and different”, it also seems that their will be “no requirement for content approval”, considering any ages will probably be able to access the Minis I highly doubt this. A short quality assurance test will however take place, to check the games run smoothly.
Also a PSP development tool will be available for €1200. To find out more information check out the article on PocketGamer.
