Microsoft doesn’t dispute Xbox 360 failure rate

Microsoft have responded to the recent study results which found the Xbox 360 to have a failure rate of over 50 percent. The survey was conducted by GameInformer and highlighted even more the worrying hardware issues of Microsoft’s console.

If Microsoft were to speak out on the results of this survery, you would think that they would try to diffuse the problem regarding the Xbox 360 hardware, but according to this article from Engadget, the company made no direct reference to it at all.

A Microsoft spokesperson did however state that the Xbox 360 console ‘has the best warranty in the industry’ and offers superior entertainment value.

Its interesting how they chose not to comment on the recent survey, don’t you think? Let us know your thoughts on this.

It sucks that so many break but if yours does go the turnaround for a replacement is very quick. It’s a shame the 3 year warranty only started from when M$ announced the extension and not from when you buy your console.

no matter how corrupt they are and the least RELIABLE console, nobody disputes it is the most entertaining console out their, with a great online feature and many more console only titles than the ps3, fanboys will rebuttal, but gphoria 09 most gamers voted 360, the majority agrees so the minorities can whine all they want about just how good they are even though population doesnt agree
and epic fanboy rage reply go….NOW! and before you say it, i never fucking denied i was a 360 fanboy come up with something better to say!

Don’t think I can enjoy playing the 360 anymore. I think I may just sell it during the holidays when I want to get a PS3. away b/c I’m not comfortable with (RROD) controversy. In fact the games are all bad and repetitive and I get way too bored of the system very quickly. I wish Microsoft did a better job with their console then I would have kept it too. Microsoft will lose in the console war.

Here is what I think will happen:
    1. Wii
    2. PS3
    3. XBox 360

in terms of sales! I know most 360 owners will move to PS3 due to this mess.

  4. Ethan says:

I would buy a PS3 in a heartbeat if it had all the same titles Xbox does. I have had 2 xbox RROD on me

  5. Billy says:

How bout my xbox 360 that can’t read discs anymore and its 18 months old. The games are awesome but I’m buying a ps3 for 299 so I don’t have to put up with this shit from Microsoft anymore. Rip off’s on new hardrives and other stuff as well.
