Heavy Rain On PS3: PC not best at graphics anymore

We have an article for you to read now, which explains how upcoming titles for the PS3 such as Heavy Rain are beginning (if not overtaking) to outshine the very best PC titles in terms of graphical capabilities.

According to HipHopGamerShow, the graphics seen in upcoming PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain, are on a par with Crysis, which is considered the finest looking PC game ever.

They have included a series of images between the two games for you to compare, and it gives you a good chance to see the sheer amount of detail in some of the character models in Heavy Rain.

    Rendering highly detailed faces within a fairly simple surrounding maybe. On par with Crysis’s detailed faces within an incredibly complex environment? No no no. I’m a bit of a ps3 fanboy and I wouldn’t even say that. I’m looking forward this game for the mature story and style. But the graphics, though impressive, look somewhat ‘dead’ to me, as if there’s an uncanny valley issue going on.

    Uncharted 2 on the other hand… its as if those polygons have souls.

    Don’t get me wrong the PS3 is a fine machine but the graphics will never be as good as the PC as its is now just look at the new ATI 5870 coming out with DX11 that’s what I call graphics but I must agree with the top person said about uncharted 2 that is the game I am looking forward to and I always pick PC gaming over my PS3.

    But the one thing I must pat the PS3 on its back for and that is physics at the moment I have a NVIDIA GTX280 and with the over hyped NVIDIA physx enabled it slows the frame rate down loads but just look a PS3 game that as been designed on the console from scratch like uncharted 2 and the physics are mind blowing so that’s what I think the PS3 as going for it.

    LOL? God, some people are really messed up.

    On pair with Crysis? lol. Oh, yea… Because heavy rain surely has a huge jungle and hundreds of meters of view distance, and detailed environments… NOT! -.-
