Samsung Omnia 2: Sunlight and AMOLED screen on video

With the ever growing interest in brighter crisper displays for your smartphone many believed that the Samsung Omnia 2 had made the right choice by choosing to use an AMOLED display, however it seems that the Omnia 2’s display still has a few issues.

An article on PhonesReview recently looked into the phones display, and whilst indoors the handsets display looked extremely clear and vibrant, the same could not be said whilst outdoors. To see the video either head over to PhonesReview or check out the video below.

It is not unusual for handsets display visibility deteriorating in an outdoor environment, however the Omnia 2 seems to have a non-transparent film on the display which you only really notice when outdoors.

Will this poor outdoor screen visibility put you of buying a Samsung Omnia 2?
