Cash for Refrigerators Program: Appliance retailers giving $50-$200
By: Jamie Pert | August 24, 2009 | 1 CommentFollowing the extremely popular and successful Cash for Clunkers program it now seems that the U.S government are going to apply for a similar program, however instead of vehicles the program will be aimed towards inefficient refrigerators and other household appliances.
The Cash For Refrigerators Rebate Program will offer $50-$200 in exchange for inefficient household appliances, obviously this money will only be rebated to you if you choose to buy an efficient model.
The U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu had this to say on the matter “These rebates will help families make the transition to more efficient appliances, making purchases that will directly stimulate the economy.” For more details check out TheInquisitr’s article here.
