Fujifilm S200EXR: DLSR look, regular bridge camera
By: Jamie Pert | August 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentFujifilms new FinePix S200EXR should be available sometime in September, however early impressions seem to suggest that perhaps this camera falls short in quite a few areas.
The first thing you will notice is that the camera looks like a DSLR camera, however it is not it kind of sits between being a DSLR and a standard compact digital camera (aka a bridge camera), as it is not a DSLR the pictures won’t be as impressive as a comparable DSLR camera.
The camera has a 12 megapixel CCD EXR sensor, a 2.7 inch high contrast LCD, a ‘Super Intelligent flash’, and five film simulation modes, however the camera does not record HD video.
When the camera is released in September it is expected to retail at around 60,000 Yen, which roughly converts to $640 dollars, in my opinion that is a lot of money to spend on a non HD video capturing bridge camera. Check out AkihabaraNews for more details.
