The Beatles and Apple iTunes: More Rumors

With Apple’s music-focused media event scheduled for September 9th rumors are again beginning to emerge regarding whether The Beatles will finally be coming to iTunes. This rumor is mainly circling because on that day there are also a few Beatles-related events taking place.

Over the years there has been a lot of speculation regarding The Beatles media showing up on iTunes, in 2006 Apple stated they were re-mastering Beatles tracks and Apple were trying to finalize a deal. In 2007 during an iPhone demo Steve Jobs showed some Beatles songs, also following the release of a Paul McCartney solo album Paul stated that The Beatles catalog would soon be available online.

In 2008 rumors began to emerge that a $400 million deal had been struck to bring The Beatles to iTunes, however Apple denied this rumor, following this Paul McCartney confirmed that the deal had stalled.

Personally I feel that there is very little evidence to suggest that The Beatles will be coming to iTunes, however I could be wrong, for more details check out MacRumors.

Do you think The Beatles will be announced at Apple’s media event in September?
