Sony PS3 Slim: Video Review

Sony PS3 Slim: Video Review

By: Alan Ng | August 20, 2009 | Leave a Comment

We have a first look video review of the brand new Sony PS3 Slim for you to check out now, which gives you a great preview of the console before it goes on sale on the 1st September worldwide.

The review comes to us courtesy of Cnet and their Editor, Brian Tong. We showed you one of the first unboxing videos for the Slim here, but this video lists all of the facts you need to know, such as pricing, hardware details and the new look design.

The video also gives you a chance to see a close up view of the new buttons which are now ‘pressable’ and are no longer touch sensitive. You’ll also learn that the removable HHD panel is now located on the front, unlike the first console and will no longer void your warranty if you wish to upgrade your memory.

However, a few downsides to the PS3 Slim is that it has no support for backwards compatibility, and no support for Linux this time around. With that aside though, its still a lovely bit of kit, so check out the video review below and let us know your thoughts on the PS3 Slim.
