By: Alan Ng | August 20, 2009 | 11 CommentsWith many news dedicated to the PS3 Slim lately and it’s new hardware design, one of the features that will appeal to most is the fact that the PS3 Slim now has 34% less power consumption. A lot of gamers are critical about power consumption and the amount of noise it makes during operation, so a lot of gamers will be picking up the Slim purely based on this stat.
Its no secret that the original Xbox 360 had quite a loud operation noise, and while the PS3 was considerably quieter, was still definately noticable during use. The new PS3 Slim is expected to be much quieter than the bigger model, so this again will probably add to your decision in picking up a Slim on September 1st.
Let us know if you plan on buying a PS3 Slim for its design specs or its quieter operation and less power consumption.
