Exploding iPhones and iPod’s: Apple Informs European Commission

According to AppleInsider Apple have recently informed the European commission regarding exploding iPhones and iPod Touch’s. It seems that there have been a few claims of these Apple devices exploding, however Apple claim these are isolated incidents.

Apple are apparently currently waiting to receive the faulty iPhones before they make an official decision as to whether the handsets are a risk to the public, it is thought that this problem is not a risk that every iPhone faces.

There have been two main incidents that have reached the public regarding iPhone explosions, one of them occurred when an 11 year old girl dropped the handset, this resulted in the handset hissing an popping and eventuality it exploded into the air. The other resulted in a French Teenager receiving burns.
