Xbox 360 Price Drop On Way
By: Jamie Pert | August 19, 2009 | 2 CommentsFollowing the recent news of the Sony PlayStation 3 price drop, many people were starting to wonder just how much this would affect the Microsoft Xbox 360. Well according to an EEDAR (Electronic Entertainment Design and Research) analyst Microsoft will drop the price of their Xbox 360 within a week.
Although EEDAR are reliable source it must be understood that is by no means guaranteed, and personally until Microsoft announce a price-drop I would not take too much notice of the report. It could be possible that rather than a price-drop Microsoft may just offer more for your money, perhaps a larger hard disk drive or an extra bundled game.
Personally I feel one way Microsoft could really promote their consoles would be to perhaps think about reducing the cost of their Xbox Live service, or perhaps make it free, whilst this is not very likely I feel that this is one of the easiest ways to kill some of the PS3 Slim’s hype.
