A new study has revealed that students are prefering to purchase low-cost netbooks rather than an Apple Macbook. However, many of these students are expecting the incoming Apple Tablet to sell well and will compete with netbook sales.
As reported from AppleInsider, the survey was comprised of 300 students who were preparing to head back to school. Of those 300, 34 percent said that they intended to purchase a small lightweight netbook, with 17 percent preferring to buy an Apple Macbook.
The remaining 51 percent said that they planned on buying a full-sized, feature packed PC laptop with a windows OS setup. One of the obvious reasons for netbooks coming out of top in the survery, could be due to the fact that students will want to spend as little as possible and may feel like Macbooks are still out of their price range.
