GamesCom 2009: DUST 514 first-person shooter

Recently at the Game Developers Conference in Europe a new game was announced by CCP. This game is called DUST 514 and it is a First-Person Shooter MMO (massively multiplayer online). The game is said to be a mix between standard FPS games and real-time strategy games. So far it seems that this game will only be available for Sony PlayStation 3.

Currently CCP are responsible for the successful MMO game EVE Universe, it seems that DUST 514 will merge with the EVE Universe, according to sources “players of the console-based MMOFPS would fight over planets hired by EVE Online corporations”.

More details of the release will be shown off at CCP’s Fanfest which takes place later this year in October, this may include a release date as so far no release date has yet been announced. We will keep you posted as we find out more, check out IGN’s article for more details.
