
80 million Apple iPhone sales by 2012
By: Alan Ng | August 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that Apple will sell an estimated 50 millon iPhones by the time 2011 approaches and then a further 30 million by 2012. The figures are from a latest research and is due to the growing popularity and expansion of the iPhone.
According to AppleInsider, Apple managed to ship a total of 13.7 million iPhones throughout 2008. Due to the sucessful launch of the iPhone 3GS, that number is expected to rise fast.
If you take a look at the research from Barrons here, then you’ll read that the smartmarket is predicted to grow by a huge 27% each year for 2010 and 2011.
Whos to say that these figures won’t become a reality either? Apple are continuing to move from strength to strength it seems, so it will be interesting to see how the company will push the iPhone even further.
