Zune HD Has Tegra Processor: NVIDIA Confirms
By: Alan Ng | August 18, 2009 | Leave a CommentWell, most of us had known about this already, but NVIDIA have just decided to make the news official. It has been confirmed that the upcoming Zune HD will be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra Processor.
It was only after news broke about the Zune HD being available for pre-order, that NVIDIA decided to get all official it seems. Over on their website, they proudly state that their Tegra Chip will be providing the ‘Multimedia Muscle’ for Microsoft’s next generation media player.
Some quick specs about the Tegra Processor you ask? Well it consists of eight independant processors, each of which are designed for a specific class of tasks – a few being an HD video processor, graphics and audio processors as well as two ARM cores.
We’re not sure about you, but September 15th cannot come soon enough. If you’re hungry for more specs, you can head to the official page from NVIDIA here.
