Apple TV vs. PS3 Video on Demand

Now that European PS3 owners will be able to boast about having a video-on-demand service of their own, one of the main questions that will be asked is whether the EU video store will be able to challenge the likes of Apple TV.

The Apple TV service has been established for quite some time now, proving very popular with consumers. While PS3 VOD has been available in the US for a lengthy period as well, today’s announcement for European PS3 owners is surely going to excite a lot of you.

At the moment, Apple TV might have the slight advantage in some eyes considering it already offers TV shows along with movies. During the GamesCom announcement though, Sony clearly had intentions to introduce TV shows sometime in the future.

We think its great that the PS3 VOD service will also extend to PSP / PSP Go users. What do you think about the upcoming service? Are you going to give PS3 VOD a go, or will you prefer Apple TV still?
