Samsung’s Mobile Widget SDK Released
By: Jamie Pert | August 17, 2009
Earlier today Samsung released its Mobile Widget SDK, this SDK gives developers the opportunity to develop small applications (widgets) which use Samsung’s TouchWiz technology. TouchWiz is Samsung’s touchscreen technology which is featured on their high end handsets such as the upcoming Samsung Omnia II.
The software development kit allows developers to create widgets that run in Windows Mobile, Symbian and Java environments, Samsung also allow constant access to the Samsung’s Virtual Device Lab which allows testing of the applications on all Samsung phones.
Samsung will be allowing developers to pitch their applications to them, with the possibility of the widgets being featured on the handset or available at Samsungs application store.
