Well with Dirt 2 only a short way off, and more importantly the long awaited Gran Turismo 5 expected to be released in the coming months, according to Slippery Brick it seems that Logitech have anticipated the launch and answered it with the details of their new G27 racing wheel which will replace their old and popular G25 racing wheel.
The G27 is loaded with Dual force feedback motors and has a two and a half turn rotation (900-degrees) on the wheel. The wheel also has some nifty RPM and Gear shift LED indicators (more than useful in GT5), the steering wheel has 16 programmable buttons which should be useful for all that mid race quick tuning to traction control and such that you may need.
And for any of you who get annoyed with the brake, clutch and accelerator sliding around, fear not! It has flip down grip teeth, and as a bonus the pedals are metal (steel to be precise). The wheel also comes with a very nice gear shift which even features a push down reverse. The wheel will be compatible with PC, PS2 and PS3 and will set you back $299 USD. The unit looks extremely well built and is a must buy for anybody looking for the drive of their life experience on the real driving simulator which is GT5. You can check out the full details on the Logitech website.
