FCC News: TomTom XL Live for connected services
By: Alan Ng | August 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that the upcoming TomTom XL Live device has been cleared by the FCC, meaning that an official announcement for the GPS system is surely just around the corner.
As reported from GPSTrackLog, an announcement for the TomTom XL Live is expected to be coming sometime in early September. The device is already available to customers in Europe, but now preparations are underway for the US release of the XL Live unit.
The device is thought to be very similar to the GO 740 LIVE, although you won’t get Voice Control or Bluetooth features. As for fees, the expected price is thought to be around $9.99 per month, which may prove to be slightly expensive to some customers.
We’ll let you know once it’s announced.
