
Facebook 3.0: iPhone App
By: Alan Ng | August 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that the highly anticipated version 3.0 of the Facebook application for the iPhone has now been submitted to the App store, meaning that we are now just waiting on approval from Apple.
As reported from TechCrunch, Facebook Software Engineer Joe Hewitt confirmed the news over the weekend via his Twitter account. On it he stated: “Just uploaded Facebook for iPhone 3.0 to the App Store for review.
”. He also mentioned that preview screenshots and details of Facebook 3.0 will be available to view soon.
Now that work on Facebook 3.0 has been completed, Joe Hewitt also revealed that he will begin work on version 3.1, talk about not wasting any time! As you would expect with any new version, a whole list of improvements have been made to the Facebook service. One of the new additions to 3.0 is support for Facebook Events, as you’ll now be able to RSVP, while on the go.
